RSS
Thanks for great software.
I would suggest adding RSS for log files. This would allow timely
notification about new events. Also, it would make sense to add
events to RSS on certain criteria in order to receive important
information only.

Hi jod,
how would you like to use Pimp My Log in this way ?
You would like to put this kind of url http://A.B.C.D/PimpMyLog/rss.xml in your favorite RSS Reader to retrieve only new logs ? (and of course with filters to avoid being spammed)

I think need rss for each log file.
Now I use Pimp My Log for easy reading of web server logs.
Also for logs for my downloaded files. I would like to be notified of a finished download as soon as possible.
It could also be useful for notification of critical events defined by the user.

I think I will implement a RSS and Atom link in the footer for each defined log file view.
You will just have to define a new log file view to show only downloaded files for example and subscribe to its feed.
Very nice idea released in next (huge) version 1.5. I should call it v2...

Thanks. But I have some suggestions.
1. Exported RSS have encoding="ISO-8859-1" instead UTF-8, as my hosted Pimp my Log.
2. Please dont change https:// to feed://. Such links are not working.
3. Exported ATOM contains html tags. I do not think it's right.

Jod,
Ok, you're right
Ok too, feed URI scheme has never been validated.
Can put html in ATOM but I need to add a
type="html"
XML attribute... (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4287#page-14)At the end I will have totally rewritten the PHP RSS Class !
